Golden Green Rub-a-Dub-Rub is a mustard based rub, flavoured with dill.
This rub is based on American style rubs and can be used to coat pork, beef, chicken and even fish such as salmon.
In America pit masters will often coat brisket or pork butt in a paste of mustard before adding further seasoning. The mustard paste helps the seasoning stick to the meat, especially during those low and slow cooks. Golden Green Rub-a-Dub-Rub is perfect for this. Simply add a little cold water to the rub to make a paste and then use to coat your meat. You can then sprinkle some BBQ Rub on which will stick to the paste.
Because Golden Green Rub-a-Dub-Rub uses dill seed and weed as a flavouring you also get the added bonus of this rub tasting of pickles. In fact some of this could be added to some vinegar for a perfect marinade for meat, poultry, fish, prawns or vegetables.
